Seating for 13, hopefully not more than that show at least at one time as they'll be on the floor....Got the beers chilling....woohoo

Very envious of you. I'm going to be enjoying my St. Paddy's day much the way you are doing it right there. Today cannot end fast enough...

Hoss7504 right on, some good games already, no spoilers, but N Dame and Princeton don to the wire.....unc Wilmington giving uVA all they can handle

I have the ESPN app going crazy on my phone right now

Cool thing is with everyone having a p hone or tablet is they can stream whatever game they want.....used to have 3 tv's going but it's actually too many in a living room.....I found myself scanning across the room the next day after when I was just watching one tv.

London Perrantes is good, really good!

LBlack14 hahaha, love it! You got a few teams to cheer for this year, Xavier in, cinci, anyone else.

Lots of good games so far, enjoying the tourny.....princeton, almost, middle ten st takes it too minnesota....picked that one, as minnesota was over seeded,, pretty much chalk today.....kudos to Northwestern, that was a helluva game.

Today reaffirmed how bad I am at filling out brackets.

        Good job bucky!

Interesting tidbit....Buzz Williams coaches at Marquette for years and he faced uw for many battles and then eventually moved on to VA Tech....ncaa pairs uw vs. VA tech, hmmmmm?, what are the odds?? Anyways, Wisco dominates once again!

The Badgers looked lost on defense for a lot of the game but their shooting was lights out, including the free throw line!

MidwayJ they struggled mightily on d, that is.a.bit.of.lacking athleticism, but also lots of dumb )bone headed plays. Bronson, Nigel had huge.games offensively......and they hit.free throws.

Since my undergrad school finally got rid of our coach, I'm left with rooting for my grad school.

          Go Bucky!

I wish you (and me) well, but I think you're gonna have yet another reason to hate Calipari. He's a phenomenal recruiter in this one-and-done era, but not the greatest coach on the planet. I don't see them moving beyond the final 8, and even at that I think they will have overachieved.

Too many "me" players who don't get the concept of team basketball.

But I digress... hoping he moves on very soon, so UK can get a good reputable, all-around coach. Calipari is seriously overrated. But he also knows this, which is why he'll continue the gravy train ride at Kentucky until it finally dawns on them that he's nothing more than a good recruiter.

Until then, I'll remain a distant fan of the program. 🙁

Calipari is the perfect coach for Kentucky....As much as I dislike him, he can coach and recruit.

Can't believe they gave him the axe. Seemed like a good guy and was turning the program around at IU.

The problem is that every big program wants results now. And "now" isn't as practical as the fans/boosters think it should be.

On the flip side, at least it appears that Alford will be returning, if they offer him the job. I think he'll fit right in there back home.

I don't really care for Calipari, but I think he is more than just a good recruiter. As a game coach I think he is somewhat underrated.

LBlack14 My, my, it appears the dude is drinking "the Dude's" favorite beverage. Yes? Is that a Black Russian?

My favorite in the Tourney is the Sean Miller coached Arizona Wildcats. Seems to me it always comes down to having savvy guard play in this thing call Basketball - NCAA Basketball - the way it's meant to be played!
Other than Arizona, just to maintain my ongoing history for disappointment (via Philadelphia Eagles and Pitt Panthers), I'll be rooting for every other underdog.

I love to see what lowest seed cracks the Great Eight!

PA-PLAYA Crean always loaded with talent, yet too many under performing teams....injuries played a role this year....but they have to be hugely disappointed in him as a coach, especially given that they beat Kansas and UNC in the non conf. B1G seems to get a lot of criticism this year, but IMO they had a lot of good teams, say 20-40 in the rankings, whether it be ap, coaches, bpi, rpi, but no upper echelon team....Point being they could not finish .500 or better in a conference that was ripe to be taken. The way it was shaking out early, I thought UW was going to take it with a challenge from Perdue.....but Uw hit the wall and could not hit the broadside of a barn. When I think of great coaches, I think of guys who can get the most out of his guys, teams that exceed expectations. I think Bo Ryan and how his teams from a talent perspective pale in comparison to Creans, yet they were in the top 4 in the conf year after year. Crean had some great teams and a few really good years, but he also had some teams disappear too. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Big win for Wisconsin today, to be sure.

Northwestern got off to a really slow start against Gonzaga and then got some momentum going. After that, they were screwed by the refs. To the point that the NCAA released an official "mea culpa" after the game was over. Too little, too late, IMO. Correct it at the time. Score the points for Northwestern. Take away the technical foul from the Northwestern coach.

Do the right thing. Northwestern may have still lost; we have no way of knowing. But they weren't given a chance!

Yeah that was horrible.....Collins was complaining about it being a foul, not Goaltending/interference which it clearly was, how 3 refs miss that is mindboggling. Whistle should have been blown, refs should have consulted and Collins likely would have not gone completely nuts....Who knows if it would've changed outcome, but it stunted the momentum, definitely had an impact

                PA-PLAYA

There has been a lot of criticism with some alumni even asking to buy out the remaining time on his contract.

As to Alford ... that remains to be determined. He hasn't said he wants to be, yet he hasn't said he won't be. Alford has been successful as a coach wherever he has been. And he is at a very renowned school in UCLA. Also remember, there was a very well known Hoosier boy that had a little run at UCLA named Wooden. Perhaps Alford wants to bring that tradition back, which he's been successfully slowly building. 👌
