Revisiting Streaming TV choices

We have Direct TV Stream and they are in a dispute with Disney. While the dispute goes unresolved, we don’t get any FX, ABC or ESPN channels. There might be more channels but I haven’t noticed. If it goes on much longer or if Direct TV dumps those channels I’ll be looking for a new streaming service. Any suggestions out there on streaming services you may have?

I am on the verge of dropping DTV as well. I have the traditional Satellite version. I do like to watch a decent amount of sports that I typically DVR. I got $20 off my bill for the ESPN outage. I am not sure I am getting the most value out of DTV these days so I think I am going to crunch the numbers with the various apps again.

We use Hulu Live TV. We like it OK, but it is now bloated down with Disney + and 6,000 channels of ESPN. Cool if you want to watch every lacrosse game of Western Appalachian Bible College, but it makes it impossible to scroll through channels in less than 2 hours. So I may be on the hunt as well soon.

P.S. Had to get Peacock today just so I can watch the Packers game tomorrow…not a fan of the exclusive streaming crap that is becoming more mainstream

What they’re essentially doing is turning regularly televised sporting events into PPV. No thanks.

I use a number of "non-standard" streaming options to watch all the games I want to watch.

We've been on YouTube TV for a little over a year and a half. It's been fine. The only thing I miss is the History Channel. They also don't have the Regional Sports Network.

The History Channel has turned out to be a little about history and more a channel about aliens/ufo's, Alone, Skinwalker Ranch, Oak Island, Swamp People etc. I used to like it but now I can do without. JMO.

Very high definition at my house. As good as it gets. I'm on fiber optic - Verizon FIOS.

Switched from Frontier cable to you tube TV about 4 months ago. Using it on one smart TV and through 2 Roku boxes. Kept the Frontier high speed fiber. Very pleased with it and love the cost savings.

We have used Hulu live and Youtube TV. We find Youtube TV slightly better. We haven't used a live streaming service for almost 2 years now. We really only use it for Patriots games and we now how that works out these days. I thinks right now we have regular Hulu, Paramount, and Peacock.

scotts33 I enjoyed American Pickers and Pawn Stars. Shows I could watch part of and come back to later. I rarely watched much else.

We called Direct tv today. Got $30 off the next bill. Next step is probably going to Fubo. 300 channels for $100 once you get regular billing. Has the Hallmark channel🙄. My Jesse likes the MLB channel and local Sports channel.

The one thing to take into consideration when switching to a streaming service is,
you better have a pretty fast internet service.
We have F/O @ 1gig download speed,and even that can get a little balky at times.
Plus the "zen" moments on Youtube TV are annoying as hell!🤬

Same here, but quality is very consistent. Fiber with 1gig is sweet.
