Cantlay was machine-like through 17 holes, but one mishap there at the end likely cost him a good chance at a win. He'd garnered lots of praise back during his amateur days, figured he'd be an interesting player to watch once he made it to the big leagues, then dealt with injury and the loss of his caddie. But I will say that the kid just seems much too vanilla for my liking.
Whereas Hadwin pretty much ticks all of the boxes. Solid player, good putter, has a personality. Not much to not like. And will probably win another tournament this season at some point, provided he doesn't let his first win steal some of his motivation.
Several young guys on tour right now who ain't afraid of going the distance in the week-to-week tournaments, getting lots of good experience that should help them in the coming majors this season. I don't anticipate Hadwin making a huge splash at Augusta, with it being his first time and all... but it wouldn't surprise me if he had a good week.
