Here's an off the wall one no one is actually pondering. Awhile back I hit that GX-7 infomercial club. It was not the driver one but the 7 wood.
It was actually solid. Had a stiff shaft, went high and straight. I didn't measure it but it seemed long for a 7 wood. It's my BILL'S so I'll get to hit it some more. BTW, anybody hit that 357 club that is all over my FB feed?

garyt1957 Some of those infomercial clubs are awesome. The XE-1 64 degree wedge is like cheating out of sand and around greens for a high lob.

We had a 60 degree in Lost and Found. One of the older guys I work with has trouble around the greens. I told him to try it. He was fucking giddy. A month later after nobody claiming it he took it.

I just finally got my account fixed while I’m waiting at the tattoo parlor. If I have enough $ I might just get a Black out ZT for no reason.

I keep thinking about getting one of those. Found one on the course years ago and played around with it and it seemed foolproof. I'm usually never carrying 14 clubs any way.

Guy up here selling last gen TM p770 3 and 4 irons. Always amazes me that people sell groups of irons with different shafts altogether. 4 iron has a project x 5.5 and the 5 has a KBS Tour Lite. Short money, I could use them as “easier to hit long irons” in my TW set. I could replace the TW 4 and 5 or maybe, depending on gaps, take out the TW 4 iron but keep 2 5 irons and the 770 4 iron.

I have a 3 hybrid in the bag and no fairway woods. I really need to learn how to hit a fairway wood. I’m like a 50 handicap with a fw in my hands

azgreg Yea I do. Top end of the bag for me is rarely used. Chances of hitting the green from far out is ok. But if I miss I can get it up and down. I’d rather have more options in the bottom end of the bag for precision.

Contemplating pulling the head on the only hybrid in my primary bag (TE Exotics 5H) and replacing it with a Maltby TS3.5 or KE4 Max Forged 5 iron head…🤔🤔
…already has the same KBS steel shaft that are in the rest of my TS3’s.

Jelopster Vega Mizal Max 3 (17°) but they want $80 for a used head. Still considering it but will likely hold out for one of the Maltby TS UIs.

6 months later but you still looking for a DI head? I have a Pinhawk PDI in 17.5* that I could send your way to give a demo? It is currently shafted with a LogicalOne 85S graphite shaft but I could easily pull it.

Not at the moment. Im playing so little these days that I'm sticking with the 18 hybrid in that slot. I do appreciate the offer and truly applaud your memory!

Typhoon I've had the P770 5i collecting dust since I bought the set, but last year it went back in the bag. We have 3 par 3's where I'm likely to need that club and it was nice to be able to hit an iron again rather than try to take something off of the hybrid. Got a Maltby TS1-IM 5i drying now to see if it might be even a little easier to hit. The TS1-IM sort of splits the difference between the P770 and P790 IMO.

This is exactly the reason I am considering pulling my 5H head and replacing it with a 5 iron head…still need to decide which head to go with though…either a TS3 to match rest of set or try out a TS3.5 or KE4 Max Forged in 5 iron…

I did some catching up on Popeye’s Maltby thread last night and a TS3.5 head in 5 iron may be the way to go 🤔

It was never really there. I've always loved a good forged cavity back and I did test a 6i first and liked it. I built up the set and even though I nearly aced our #4 par 3 with the 7i the first time out I just didn't love them. I'm nitpicking, but they don't look quite right at address and I'm not sure why. I also like the feel but didn't love that either. Maybe I just need to play them a bit more or maybe I have gotten too used to hollow goo filled irons like my P770.

Well it could be worse…you could be in love with fugly Ping Zings or something…earmuffs Steve!! 😆🤣😆

The TS3’s are still working out well for me…that low COG as well as the tungsten towards the toe obviously fits my picker swing & my miss tendencies
