Good story, as usual, Tony.
The Lauren Coughlin bit is especially interesting to me because I know her. She was honing her game at Greenbrier Country Club in Chesapeake, Virginia when she was a kid. I was a member there for a few years. I even got to play a round of golf with her.
Back then, she had ball-striking game, but her putting was not very good. I remember telling my wife that if she ever learned how to putt, she was going to be a force to be reckoned with. It's been fun to watch her finally break through. My understanding is that her ball striking is at elite level, in the top five of the LPGA, which tracks with what I saw watching her play when she was a kid.
