darpar My first home computer was a Gateway 385-16. with a whopping 4mb RAM! (Which was an upgrade from the standard 2mb as I recall) I was the envy of the neighborhood, I tell ya!

Dealing with Gateway was fun when they first started. I had one or two then switched to Dell which I still use. I got two Dells custom built dirt cheap through the military exchange online about 12 years ago and still using them.

I drove down to Sioux City , IA and bought my first computer from Gateway at their factory outlet. I don't
remember what it cost me anymore but I remember I was enough less than ordering one that I felt it paid
for my trip to Sioux City (130 miles) plus I got to kill most of a day.

Had a Tandy CoCo 2 before that.

I don't doubt you but tie dye tee shirts are forever associated with the Grateful Dead and more so
with the dead heads that followed them. I love the Grateful Dead and that's one of the first images
I see in my mind when I think of them. I don't own a tie dyed tee shirt either, although I really like
most of the shirts walterjn has done.

mulegolf i always wore a golf shirt to shows (69 dead shows), i had a friend that wore the same exact clothes to every show. Not duplicates. The same ones. Like a lucky outfit I guess. Deadhead for life, but never could get into the whole dirty dread dirty feet hairy armpit thing.

azgreg Met the man maybe 4 decades ago in San Francisco at a Tandy computer store. He was smaller than on screen it seemed. A very pleasant gentleman. Went in and out of the store quickly without causing disturbance.

I remembered her from Home Alone but didn't realize that I've also heard her voice several prominent characters in some great animated movies. RIP.

KCee I'm pretty weird in that the last series I watched with any regularity was Married with Children back in the 80's and 90's. Watched some Cheers, Seinfeld and Friends, but never regularly. Most other series I don't even start into just because I don't want to invest the time. I did sit with the kids and watch a lot of the Nickelodeon and Disney stuff with them when I could.
