I had the chance to demo a ts1-I’m and ts4 and Ts3 vs my current ts2
I honestly couldn’t tell a huge difference between any of them. All were excellent, felt great, had expected distance, were reasonably forgiving. The ts3 and 4 had the highest trajectories, but the diff was minimal. The TS 4 did have a few clunky mis hits but it was user error not the design.
If I were to change I’d likely go with the ts4 as I liked the look , but I could play any. I’ll likely stay with the ts2 for now though as I come back from injury

Nat I also am playing the TS2. Any noticeable drop off in forgiveness with the TS3?

I have found the TS2 to be remarkably forgiving. The TS3 (and 4) seemed similar. I hit a few on the heel with the TS3 and they went OK. I also hit a toe shot with the TS4 that was just fine. I think i prefer the narrower sole of the TS4, but the diff is minimal.

Nat The TS2 mis-hit that really shines for me is the low on the face one. I would hate to lose that forgiveness.

The TS4 is gorgeous and very playable for a blade. I like the TS1-IM and TS3 best. I found the TS1 and TS2 to perform just as well, but I didn't care for the feel as much. I could play any of those models and be happy though.

If you are a sweeper or shallow divot taker, you will love the trajectory and feel of the
forged TS3 with it's low VCOG and great look at address. It really is just a matter of which
        head fit your swing tendencies.

Finally got some quality time in the Sim yesterday with that Maltby TS3 8 iron demo I built up with @LogicalOne 85S graphite (standard tipping and 36 3/4” length).
TS3 had the best trajectory, distance and dispersion for me.

Was comparing to my Ping iE1 with CFS 70 regular flex (37” length) and Alpha C2 forged with @LogicalOne 85S graphite soft stepped once and at 36.5” length.

There is something about this TS3 man…and yes I am a picker/sweeper…don’t think I have ever sliced a pelt of turf 😜

Eguller And the feel is top notch with the TS3. Told yaaaaa

            Yes you did 😆

Agree…it is a soft “tight” feel to me…if that makes sense

colej Holding out for the TS3.5 or the KE4 forged

I am also waiting to see how these turn out…

Although, I am still tempted to grab 4ea. TS3 heads (6,7, 9 & PW) and build them to match this 8 iron demo 😜

backinit depends on ones definition of hollow....the TS1, ts1-im, and ts2 are, although they are all goo filled, so not a one piece or solid piece/co-forged like they refer to the ts3 which has tungsten...also note that the TS1 and 2 were hollow/goo filled 3-9i and pw/GW a solid one piece forging.....not sure if that carried through on the TS1-IM, I suspect not as the face changed from carbon steel to maraging steel.

colej TS3 feel is great but my spin level was off the charts

              Why?

pellmell I can’t speak for Jeff, but the TS3 and TE+ irons spun like crazy for me with the super low center of gravity.

                  Taki27

Interesting, I have the TE+ and all the previous iterations and haven't had a problem with excessive spin. Shafts and the ball will make a difference.

                  pellmell

Not sure I’m guessing due to my sorry ass iron swing at the time 😂 I’m much better with the TS2 or the TS1-IM (higher COG) in the Maltby lineup.

                  What shafts?
