Not a huge fan of frozen pizza, but Ellio's is by far the best.

Grilled up a couple bar pizzas last night. Threw some roasted red and Banana peppers on them. You guys really have to try throwing a frozen pizza on the grill… comes out soooo good it’s amazing. Million times better than the oven in the house

Typhoon I tried one on my pellet smoker during an outage. Pretty impressive.

Eguller Gas grill Dan… but I bet charcoal would be yummy. I leave on there at 400 for 8-9 minutes . Bar pizza is thin so maybe 10 minutes for something thicker

We rarely buy frozen pizzas, we usually buy pizza crusts and make our own pizzas.

I read somewhere that if there was a nuclear explosion, all frozen pizzas within a certain radius would be cooked to perfection.

I wanted to bump this thread as it is too important to let die. Anyhoo, we had a frozen pizza last night that we haven't had before, The brand is Jack's. With neither of us being super hungry my wife had gotten this from Krogers for such an occasion. It is a smaller thin crust pepperoni pizza and was less than $4. I think Krogers has them in a three pack for under $12. It didn't look like much so I wasn't expecting much. It only took 11 mins. to cook at 425°. Wow what a pleasant surprise. I really liked the taste of the sauce. The crust is thin and crispy and the cheese and pepperoni were good as well. We will do this one again and add a few more toppings next time like mushrooms and diced jalapenos.

Oh yes, had many a Jack's pizza in my day. They are a WI company and plentiful around here. We used to be pretty partial to the rising crust versions.

Not frozen, but I forgot how good Jetts deep dish is. Our John Deere salesman bought us lunch last week and the DD meat was f-ing awesome! Tight ass, pizza for a $1.5 million sale.🙄

One that I forgot about...Walmart sells a bacon jalapeno white pizza that is very good. Sometimes they are a little jalapeno heavy so beware.

Tried a Newman’s Own meatball pizza 🍕. The crust was sourdough which was very good. The flavor was lacking a little. All in all not bad for a frozen pizza.

rsvman2 They make a high-hydration dough (about 80%) and allow it to rest in the refrigerator for 48 hours.

That's no so unusual as many local pizza shops doing "cold rising".

professor That may be true, but the dough of a Roman 'pinsa' is quite different from any cold-rise dough I have ever had anywhere in America.

If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend (not just for you but for everyone ) a trip to Rome to check it out yourself. (Apparently they also have a lot of cool historical places to see, too.)

Yes, that would be an amazing destination and wouldn't include frozen pizza!

rsvman2 Rome is an amazing place to visit. I actually had some pizza there and was not impressed, but it may have been in more touristy area and in Italy you need to get off the beaten path a bit to get the best food IMO.

I was in Rome last summer. Came on the hottest day of the year there - over 100º. Visited the Coliseum, the Mamertine prison (where the apostles Paul and Peter were held), and the Forum. Wanted to visit St. Peter's Basilica but it was across town and we didn't feel like doing more walking. LOL... all of this was in one afternoon, as we got on the cruise ship in Rome the following morning. We did eat at a nice restaurant there, and I did have pasta and pizza. Honestly, the pizza wasn't that much different from most pizzerias back around here. But the pasta.... huge difference. And delicious!

Loved Italy. Spent a day in Rome, another day in Palermo, and finished up Catania before we cruised to Corfu (Greece), Split and Zadar (Croatia) and then on to Slovenia and Venice. If you are into Europe and enjoy cruising, I highly recommend visiting these places. Lots to do and very beautiful!
