rsvman2 'Max' models have the heaviest weight at the back of the head but in the middle. They are generally not supposed to be draw-biased heads. The weight in the back is to help maximize MOI and increase spin slightly; both those are aimed at making the head as forgiving and straight as possible.
The way I understand it this is accurate. ^^^^^ Therefore any heel weighted draw bias club can’t have as high an MOI as a center back weight. Therefore heel weighted drivers can’t be Max forgiveness.
Also, what having more weight in the heel does is shift the center of gravity more towards the heel, thus giving the head slightly more toe bias (draw) gear effect.
I do agree face angle will help more with draw bias than anything. Some of the old Cobra models had a 3 - 4 degree closed face. And some had offset to boot.
Ping’s claims that the G425 SFT driver has up to 18 yards of left bias (for a right handed) and the G430 SFT has 12 yards has been proven by testing.
The G425 SFT has a fixed (23 gram) heel weight. Where the G430 SFT has a moveable heel weight for draw plus or regular draw bias.
