mulegolf I agree with this but I have lost too much head speed and no longer seem to be able to consistently hit high.
On the other hand I don't develop enough spin, even with high buck urethane balls to stop them quickly on
the green either. I guess I'll just continue to buy balls that go as far as I can hit them and chip and run around
the green.

I miss enough greens that I don't need to worry(nor care) about height or spin. (and yes, for those that are going to fire on that statement....I do know if I hit it higher I might hit more greens) And I don't give a crap. I just wanna play 18!!
From everything I've ever seen, it's always been about that number at the end of the scorecard. NOT how you got that number, or how you hit a particular club, or held it/swung it. And I'm scoring better now than I did 10/20/30/40 years ago. And I use a lot of different balls/ball type. I've got $55/doz. & I've got $12/doz..
