Sorry if this is very 2005 of me, but someone hit a heart-string tonight. What i want to hear is the best clubs that you ever played...ever.

Name your clubs. Name everything when you played the best and then name your favorites,

My favorite clubs are long gone. My Nakashimas were my favorite.

The best clubs that I have ever played. King Snakes w/ei70 shafts (not a joke).

Worst club (Ashton hybrid)

Best club (Ashton X-1 driver)

Best woods (Ashton X-1)

Best clubs ever, are my current hybrids. Ping K-15 hybrids 3,4,5, still looking for a 6. THese are the first hybrids I could hit reasonably well.

Best driver: SMT 455
Best fw woods: Ping Tisi Tec
Best irons: Ping I e-1
Best Putter: Scotty Cameron Futura

These are clubs that ive kept for when the wheels fall off. Irons i use now, thats the only exception.

Best driver: SMT 455 in 10 (still have a 14 but saving it for when I get old...er)
Honourable Mention to the Ashton X-1 (12* still in my bag)
Best woods (Ashton X-1) (still in my bag)
Best Irons: (tie) Maxfli Aussie Blades and Raven TM102i
Best Wedges: (tie) Infiniti AW Grind and Tsunami Forged
Best Putter: Yes! Sophia with Honourable Mention to my old Dunlop Mallet that I had so long the finish wore off.

    When I played my best
    Driver- SMT db455 9° Accuflex VS339 X.
    Fairwaywoods - 3 wood Ca;;away Steelhead with Proforce 65 S ( all yellow paint no purple )
Irons- Ben Hogan Apex Fort Worth, 1-SW Apex 4
Putter, it's toss up between a custom Wilson 8022 style heel shafted putter or an early Scotty Cameron Ping knock off.

The best I had played ( I stopped buying new equipment since 2006 so not up-to-date with all the new clubs )
Driver- Adams Speedline Tech 8.5° , Matrix RUL 54, S ( plus 5 other shafts, blame it on the shaft adaptor ).
Fairway woods, KZG Q series, 3 and 4 woods with TTDG X100
Irons, Taylormade RAC MB coin forged ( first batch from Japan ) 1-PW Flighted Rifle 6.0
Putter, Scotty Cameron Newport Select, and Arnold Palmer Original ( the heavy one before the Callaway version ).

I still have most of them , reason being the used golf clubs not worth much, and I could not replace them if I traded it or sold it. So keepers for this giolfers.

      D-Snake eyes python xl

      Hybrid-Snake Eyes Quick Strike II
      Irons-Acer XP Professional
Wedges-Snake Eyes 675 TM, Wishon PCF Micro Tour
      Putter-Purefit Sterling Ag

      Honorable Mention

      Irons-Maltby KE4 Tour/+, Maltby STi

Best driver: Geek FS2 with a VS proto... (honorable mention DCT/Epic still have)
Best woods: Ashton X1 3W (KZG Q was good too)
Best Irons: Swings Science S800 forged (still in the bag)
Best Wedges: Eidolon and Ray Cook (same patent # for dual bounce sole)
Best Putter: Taylor Made Daddy Longlegs. (still in bag after several years)

No plan to sell the Q as of today. They are staying put.

Catch 22. Can't get much if I sell them and can't replace them with the sold price if I miss them in the near future.
Plus, shipping to the North of the border will be killing any possible deals.

A lot of 455 love in here. I never owned one, but hit John Fisher's (golfnut2400 or something) on the 18th hole at an FGI meetup. Holy shit did I smoke that thing. I traded him my Ashton hybrid that day (sorry John).

I still believe that my farthest drive to this day came out of an Infinty Propulsion 440. It was Chuck's (brownmoose) and the shaft was whippy and wrong. I somehow timed that thing right and took a shit on gravity.

Best driver for me was the Cleveland Hibore XL with an Oban Devotion 8 S flex. the only issue was as my swing changed, I needed more height. I should have just bought the same head in a 12 degree version. It was E2 swingweight, which was really, really nice.
I also had a Geek FS3 that was a great stick, but again, too low a loft as my swing changed and the shaft was never as good as the Oban. I still have the Geek, maybe I need to see if anyone wants to trade a higher loft for it (10.5)?

Putter, for me is still my gamer, no chance in getting rid of it anytime soon a Mentorsport Quadra II.

Not enough "worst clubs" in here. I would love to say "the Hammer", but when I tried it, I still hit it well enough.

I will go against the grain and say the Tourswing 5n2 with the honeycomb. I had one and it felt dead and sounded dead. I wanted it to be awesome because it was pretty as hell. I did an apples to apples with it on the course and it was a dud for me.

I had the blue and white Accuflex in it and when I hit it, it sounded like I slapped a water balloon full of milk duds.

            SVonhof

We all need more height. I have a 7.5* Ashton that I used to hit just staring at me to go to the gym.

My backup set is XP Tour's. Good choice.

Cobra SZ fairway woods (2003). The low profile offset model was the longest I've ever played and still have the non offset deeper face 3 & 5 SZ woods. Wouldn't hesitate to put them back in the bag.

            Driver- FZ+....GEEK DCT, ZL
FWYS- Adams Insight Tech A4 fwy/hyb
Hyb- A7, Power Play System Q
            Irons- Golfsmith P2, DTG C8
            Wedges- Sonartec t46 EC
Putter- OG Rife 2 Bar mallet cs

Had 2 455db, nothing special for me. Worst driver was the funny shaped Tour Swing. May have been the shaft (Epic), but it was noticeably lacking distance no matter how good I felt I hit it. Hated the Infiniti AW wedges. Worst feeling anything I ever hit.

              Typhoon

I have some older golf clubs from the 40's through the 70's, like most of them, still.

              LBlack14

The ones that got away. Those P2's were a nice design.

I hit the same good swing on the Tour Swing 5n2 down the pipes as my Ashton X-1 and was baffled. Turns out that some things are better than others?
