I know there's some sharp folks here, when it comes to fixing stuff. Just wondering if any of you Macgyvers may have a suggestion for this, before I call TaylorMade. Picked this up local, as is. Nice ding that's separated the crown from the body. I was thinking about filling the gap to readhere the crown, as it's open, into the head. But fill it with what? Epoxy? Or just glue the crown back to the head, as is?

The composite crown won't bend to fill the gap.
My suggestion would be to sand/clean the paint off the metal part where the
ding is and fill the dent up with Bondo to match the crown profile.
Sand and paint much like you would for a dent on a car body....
And hope the Bondo doesn't crack/separate from the composite material.

Or plan B,just get another head!šŸ˜‰

Tape a dime to it and throw in in the trash. That way you're out something...šŸ˜‚

Seriously, I doubt whatever you do would last for any length of time...

What Darpar said. Plus it will always look like a repair. If performance is already compromised a cosmetic repair may not do anything. I don't know how TM is but maybe send them a pic of it and they will be embarrassed enough to send you a replacement. Maybe in your introduction mention that you work at a PGA course. šŸ˜œ

Leave it alone. Itā€™s dentedā€¦ filling it will look like crap.. Pull the shaft and toss the head in the trash . What shaft is it? Atmos Red?

TM wonā€™t do anything, the club is old and a dent like that on top of the crownā€¦ not exactly ā€œnormalā€. You can tryā€¦ all they can say is no.

    Playability isn't compromised, at all.

Paul, (anyone) got a SD Max Draw 3wood head ?

LBlack14 you mean how much? Ohhhhhhhh

      šŸ˜‚

I paid $95 for the Cobra just a couple months back. Iā€™ll look for an adapter, not sure I have one. $65 shipped. The Krank? I dunnoā€¦..$30 shipped?

LBlack14 Iā€™d give a paintless dent repair tool a whirl, the kind for cars w a hot glue gun. Iā€™d bet you could get it pretty close to back out of there.

Cutter66 I'm sorry Paul, I totally forgot about this. I'm gonna pass on the pink. Not a fan of that Rage either. Thanks anyway.

DC300 curious, what kind of glue will, actually, hold an allow a dent, like that, ti be pulled out, that will clean up after? I've never used one before.

Fill it with bondo, sand it smooth and paint the entire head one color?

LBlack14 the glues are pretty strong, the bond breaks super easily with denatured Alcohol. I have a tool, Iā€™d offer to have you send it to me and I could try it, but itā€™s probably more expensive to ship than getting the tool šŸ˜‚. If you want to, Iā€™ll give it a run.

I see a lot of suggestions to add bondo, considering how much is altered by a gram of weight, I donā€™t know if thatā€™s honestly great advice. Itā€™s going to be a couple grams high and toe-ish, may jack up your results a bit.
