garyt1957 Everybody favors one way or the other but elite scorers don't shoot 41% going one direction and 20% going the other,
How would it help anything/anyone, if she could do both ....let's say at a 40% clip?
Will she average 40 points? Will assists go down? Will more wins for the team come?
With the way she plays, and with the recent 1/23 scoring from 3 pt. areas, she still is averaging 30%(about average for league) from them & 39% from overall shots. 18pt.s/game. She only shoots on average 16 shots per game, 7 are 3 pointers.
How do we do the math that shows she should be able to shoot from anywhere? And performance would be greater?
And how would that help 'the team'????
Always being compared(unfairly imo) with Steph Curry. His stats are 44%, 39%, 24 points. 6 assists vs. CC's 9.
I will throw in an interesting fact.....CC is only averaging 4 FTs per game, about average for her position around the league. Yet, so closely guarded.
She only needs to stay with what she knows, how she plays.
Remember, the WNBA is women. Women do not like being overshadowed(jealousy) by others, in sports. That does not mean just from other teams, but within teams. Look around the league after last season and see who left where....because of someone being 'a star/getting attention/accolades'. Yet some wanted to come to Indy in order to play with CC.(??)
She's a showoff, a clown at times, and I cringe seeing it. And, imo, I think others have spoken out about it lately, within the team. She has cooled down just a bit. When she acts up during games, that makes it hard on all the players with the refs. They seem to be enjoying the 'time off' from her playing. Hate to say it.
