Rickochet This could be helpful in the 'How did you shoot today at golf' thread.

rsvman2 I don't think so. It was a detailed journey about how and what clubs were acquired to stay within the ultra low budget, then attempts to shoot low enough with them. I think there was also a twist where he was forced to continue to use those clubs until he broke 80. It might have been baab but I don't recall for certain.

Stoney and Potash were real characters. They had a pretty funny battle going, lots smack talk on FGI 😆
Potash and I teamed up against Stoney and Leftycanuck for some of those epic battles.

Stoney was a top-notch player and represented our province in National Seniors Championship.

Darkside also had an epic thread of a Dunlop Loco review and he also listed the clubs he had, alphabetically, that was a mile long. lol
I golfed with him in AZ. Awesome guy.
I miss him and his sidekick Tap In.

      Spuzz

The Kevin's! Played with both! Great Guys!

Actually saw TapIn this year at Desert Storm. He's lost a Ton of weight.

Spuzz Yes! I remember the Loco thread, too. I missed both of those threads when they happened but enjoyed reading through them when they got torpedoed later, lol.

I remember Tim Hewitt/myOstrich Golf. SUPER smart and nice guy! And wasn’t Tim one of the founders of the International Clubmakers Guild?

MidwayJ It might have been baab but I don't recall for certain.

Baab, a phonetically spelled, Long Guyland pronunciation of Bob is the one who donated a set of hybrid heads for the Ex's golf bag. They'll soon be passed down to my eldest granddaughter. Thanks Baab, gwog, and Mickeygoo for the club-building and donation. The set's got a killer Pink driver! Made by Bang Golf? Truly is a nice head, with a pink shaft. Bring on "Barbie"!

LogicalOne I remember Tim Hewitt/myOstrich Golf. SUPER smart and nice guy! And wasn’t Tim one of the founders of the International Clubmakers Guild?

I played a round with Tim at Persimmon Ridge in Louisville. Tim was always in a good humor and had a big smile on his face. The Professional Clubmakers Society (PCS) had a headquarters building on the course near the pro shop. Tim was there for an annual PCS meeting and invited me, CoachSB and RangerX for a round at Persimmon which is a very unusual course. Almost every green has a huge hump in the ground. Rumor was that there was an elephant buried in every green. 🤣

sdandrea1 I'm not sure I started the thread, but I'm betting I posted in it. 👍

I don't know when Steve joined FGI but when it closed he was one of the busiest posters. The top posters were up around 20k posts. I think I was in the top 5 and Steve quickly had 10k posts under his belt. 😜
