Walterjn 169.9y, 114.4 ball speed, 1.25 smash, spin 3657, 92' high, and launch of 20.4°. And,
167.9y, 111.7 ball, 1.24 smash, spin 2817, 85' high, launch of 20.8°.
The highest spin was 6766. I got 165.2y, 120.6 ball 1.33 smash, 75' high, launch 12.8°
The 2800 spin one was misread or a bad shot even though the numbers seemed more it less ok.
You want your launch around 17 degrees with that 7 iron. The 1.33 -1.40 smash is about what you’ll get with a solid 7 iron. Rule of thumb on spin is 1000 rpm for each number on the bottom of the club ( ie 8000 rpm for 8 iron)… but that theory is a bit dated now . That was back when spin was used to stop the ball on the green. Now while spin is involved, peak height is what we look at now. The less ball speed you generate, the peak height will be lower and in that case you need more spin.
According to the Trackman charts, peak height needs to be 90 feet on all clubs depending on the players ball speed. Spin for a 7 iron now will be around 6000 rpm.
The first one I put in the quote that had a 20 degree launch angle looked good, spin was probably off unless your using crap balls but with 114 ball speed it worked. Key was the 92’ height
