Looking at getting either a PXG 0811X 4gen driver or a Launcher HB driver. Anyone have experience with one or both? Please let me know your thoughts/opinions (good or bad).

I have the PXG gen4, but have only used it a few times. I went back to my 2021 0211 as I feel more comfortable with the feel and look at address. I feel that the PXG Gen4 is longer, but I don't care for the Aluminum vapor stuff on top, at least for now. The Gen5 is $199 USD, I would consider that. No Launcher HB experience.

I have played all the PXG drivers up to Gen 5. My order of preference is Gen5, Gen2, Gen4, Gen3, Gen1. I liked the Gen 5 so much, I added the Gen 5 hybrids and 3 wood.

@backinit is correct, the Gen5 at $199 is a great deal. You can get the standard Gen5 0311 or the slightly more forgiving 0311XF. Each one has 3 changeable weights, and the adjustable hosel allows +/- 1.5 loft changes. You also have a half-dozen shaft options in each flex.

The Gen 4 was a good driver as well, but the Gen5 was just an improvement all around. I was perfectly happy with my Gen 4, then I found a Gen 5 with a shaft I wanted to try out.

Launcher HB has no adjustable hosel and no weights to adjust. Old school.

I have the 0811X 7.5 driver head. Works a treat when I'm swinging at top speed but if I'm not striking the center and hitting fairly hard it kicks my ass. My worst miss is high toe and that's not a good spot to miss on that particular head.

Otherwise I can get good ballspeed and distance out of it, but if I had to do it again I'd get the 9*. This one will get lengthened to 48" when I eventually switch.
