For that price it is a no brainer! It would probably cost you more to regrip them.
How much is too much for a set of Ping Eye 2's?
Good price for that, KTM's are Ping's second best shaft from that era IMO. Not quite as good as the ZZ Lite but better than the JZ. I always thought they had that slightly wider, heftier "look" about them, like S400's over S300's, which for me at least, gives a nice aesthetic confidence in the shaft.
With a set of Eye 2's in the locker, you'll always know for sure if it's the swing that's at fault. Not playing well? Take the Eye 2's out, if you still don't play well, you need to work on your swing, if you play well, your new clubs are the problem!
That's why I have a set of Zing 2's with ZZ lites always on standby, they are stupidly point and shoot easy and if I cant find greens with them, its time to visit the pro.

PING gets $17.75 per club IIRC - you pay shipping both ways. They come back looking BRAND NEW. Gouges and deep scratches are GONE. I've used their service 3 times. You can also use Ron Oneal in GA - he does the same work for $13 and they look just as good. Tumbled and repainted. Fantastic service.

That's quite a bit of money to spruce up a pig.

Abrasive blast cabinet , Air compressor, blast gun, blast media....... you can have your refinishing shop.
The cabinet is too bulky, probably best with a dedicated area for storing and using it. I would not even bring this up with my wife, I already know the answer.
Dunno. I got mine for $20 at a garage sale. Almost like new. Didn't even need to re-grip them.
I probably told the story before, but my wife went to a garage sale because it was to help fund an Eagle Scout project for a friend of my son's. I didn't want to go.
She texts me, "Interested in a set of irons for 20 bucks?"
I wasn't really, since I have a lot of iron sets already. But I texted back, "What brand are they."
She says "Ping. Eye or something like that?"
I text "Are they Ping Eye-2's, maybe?"
A minute goes by. Finally she text back, "Yeah. Eye-2s. Want 'em?"
Wow. Um...yeah. Duh. I told her to have the people remove them from anybody else's sight until I got there. Put a hold on 'em. Yes, please.
I know Subsonic has many Craigslist wins on PING irons in the under $100 club. If you are patient you can find deals like that, but when you decide to buy a set and go looking, you just hope to get lucky. Thrift shops and Goodwill are great places to look for cheap classics.
I had never bought any golf club because of thinking it might retain or gain value over time.
I bought golf clubs because I want to play it. Never crossed my mind if the choice of golf club is because of good value or could retain value better.
If I think the golf club could improve my golf game and I'm financially able , it'll be a snap decision to get it.
I have collected clubs that I wanted because I had an affinity for them......a unique or classic model with ZERO expectation that they would accrue any value. The value of these is having them, showing them to enthusiasts and ocassionally playing them. The PING Eye 2 is one of those.
I look downstairs...
Set of Ping Karsten 1 irons that are beautiful. Sitting in a box. Tried selling them , no interest.
Set of Ping Eye2 Orange dot in the rock star's bag
Set of Ping Eye2 green dot Becu sitting
Set of Ping G2 LH in my younger son's bag.
My Ping I e1 irons.
Just saw a set of coppers, 2-sw for $300 at my Golfers Warehouse. Anybody?
Holy Moses! These things look like they've never been hit! 3-PW, same serial #'s, all shaft bands intact. And the lady brought a Ping Anser 5 putter to go with it. I think I found a good deal here!
$76 shipped?
I'll give you $77.
