azgreg Cignetti can just flat out coach
For sure…..
But again, you can’t discount the support from wealthy alums like Mark Cuban et all and their huge investments in NIL. NIL is leveling the playing field.
“IU is seen as an example of a program strategically leveraging strong financial backing and partnerships to enhance its football program in the NIL.”
“Campus Ink Investment: Cuban invested in Campus Ink, which partnered with IU to create a central NIL hub, helping athletes manage their NIL deals and build their brands”
“Direct Donations: He confirmed making a "significant" donation to IU sports in late 2024/early 2025, spurred by meeting Coach Cignetti, marking his first-ever direct sports donation to the university.”
“Boosting Competitiveness: His financial backing, alongside IU's increased spending on the program, has given the Hoosiers the resources to compete for top talent in the transfer portal and succeed in the NIL landscape.”
And…………. It’s been money well spent. NIL is proving to be the great equalizer.
