Very sad news received today of the passing of Steve Almo.
We talked every three weeks or so and I know that he was in terrible pain due to his neuroapthy (sp).
His eyesight was bad and in his words, he was "stuck in this goddamn wheelchair!"
He didn't drive for the longest time and relied on friends, family and Uber to get him to the VA Hospital and to wherever he needed to go.
I know that he loved his HUGE screen TV and wasn't afraid to let the volume go up!
We had our times of course, but talking all these years was fun. The industry, life and family were always on the table.
A veteran of Viet Nam and a victim of agent orange was a terrible blow to deal with.
Sad to hear of his passing, so glad for him that he is no longer in pain.
Until the time comes to have a Pepsi together, give 'em hell up there Steve!
