rsvman2 Using twice as much won't change the concentration. You will also be putting on twice as much of the non-active ingredients.
I'm afraid there is no way to MacGyver 0.5% into 1% cream
Good to know. We’ll see how it goes. There are Dermatologists that recommend the 0.5% over the counter Ivermectin. Probably because of the cost difference.
Could use the 1.0% expensive Ivermectin when there’s a flare up and use the 0.5% as a maintenance.
The Metronidazole antibiotic lotion isn’t cheap either. With insurance that was ~ 93.00 as I remember. As far as Ivermectin goes the theory is it paralyzes the Demodex mites. But may not kill them.
Ivermectin has shown to be more effective at papulopustular Rosacea. Then there’s foods, sun, heat, stress etc. than can trigger a flare up. So who knows?
Like I originally said, I have a couple of concealers that cover it well with the added benefit of a sun screen. But if Ivermectin can keep it at bay all the better.
