Bravopilot
Have had Rosacea for about 5 years now (I’m 70). My dermatologist originally prescribed Metronidazole topical lotion. It’s an antibiotic known as Flagyl. But even he admits not much works all that well as there is no cure.
Don’t use it much anymore. So what I do now is just cover it with makeup. Yup. lol Mine is mainly on my cheeks. And it has different levels of flare up.
Went with my wife to Ulta and use two products separately (not together). One being a multi tasking concealer made by BareMinerals with a broad spectrum spf 20. It’s in a powder form and applied with a brush. The color is Bisque.
The second which I use mainly when I golf is made by Clinique. Redness Solutions. It’s in a cream form with a broad spectrum of spf 15. It actually neutralizes the redness.
Both of these products work extremely well in hiding Rosacea. I don’t use them if I’m just staying home. So for me I gave up on finding a ‘cure’ and just learn to live with it.
If you decide to go the makeup route there is no embarrassment for men going to a store like Ulta. They have experts that can help you. I cannot recommend it enough. No one will know except you. lol Good luck.
