Online Meds

Now that we've moved to small town Texas with one little dinky CVS pharmacy,
I thought I'd give the mail order drug route a try.
Humana recently started their own online venture "CenterWell Pharmacy".
To my surprise (after reading a few neg. reviews on FB) they delivered the goods/meds
right on schedule AND at better prices than I was paying back in Utah.
My Eliquis for instance was about $60 cheaper!👍

Anybody else get their meds by mail?

I pay $10 a pop for my Eli. I used to use the mail order and everything was free, but.....

My wife works for Humana, btw.

My wife was getting her meds from there for a couple of years. She finally got fed up and got away from them this past Jan. 1st. It got to where they were calling all the time asking for the OK to send more meds. It wasn't good enough for them to just be set up to supply her meds monthly, it seemed like they also had to call her and ask each time if it was
OK to send them. It got to be such a hassle that she was happy to be finely rid of them. You would think that once they
had the Drs. prescription to supply the meds for a prescribed amount of time that should have been enough. They shouldn't have to call all the time.

I can't believe that you have a CVS and a Walgreens didn't pop up across the street. 😛

We have not used CenterWell but have used other by mail pharmacies without an issue.

If you are using it and it works for you, then it is a great program.

Is this the online option offered by your insurance provider?

Only thing I take is for cholesterol, been getting it by mail for years. Used to be someone else, now it is OptumRx. Started using mail because at the time, it was the only way to get a 90 day supply. Can be a pain if I wait too long to renew the prescription, but overall very convenient.

Edit: This is offered through my insurance provider.

Nah, I just go to CVS and pick 'em up. The store is less than 2 miles from home and on the way to everywhere.
