So here is a basic structure of how I see this going down...
The PIF takes their money and invests into "NewCo". LIV players are given their path back to PGA/DP Tour membership. NewCo absorbs the LIV brand which Norman will continue to oversee. A few players such as Pat Perez stay with LIV. The direct PIF funding LIV once had is gone, so LIV/Norman is forced to find sponsorship funding to continue operations... unable to do so, LIV folds and Norman is out before the 2024 season begins. Those players who failed to rejoin one of the tours are done. NewCo then starts up a team golf series similar to LIV and operates with corporate sponsorships for teams (Team Nike, Team Callaway, Team GolfBuzz, etc.). The team event series consists of 4 or 5 total events and will generally be viewed as more fun, lighthearted events with increased fan access to players. The first team series will take place in the 2nd half of 2024 or during the winter break between 24 and 25. In 2025, team events will be used to boost some of the lower tier tournaments (John Deere, Valspar, maybe the PB Pro-Am?). Could also possibly be used in conjunction with 1 or 2 more popular events like the Waste Management where the atmosphere lends itself to something different.
