Ack8236 I understand completely. My wife looks at some of her friends and asks “how the hell do they have X, X AND X, I know we make more and I can’t afford that”, to which I have to remind her, having it, doesn’t mean they own it, they just have a payment for it.”
I crunch numbers, not necessarily in the fashion the social media influencers will tell you too, nor the way the corrupt banks like either, but if it adds up, it adds up. We have “nice things”, not luxury things 😂. Now when I stare at situations where I’m thinking “ does it make more sense to get a pilot license and buy my own damn plane vs dealing w this schedule?” I might just learn to fly and buy a plane. For that, many people think I’m insane. I figure, I save 12 hours a month and break even on the money side, while building equity in the plane and setting aside an “escrow” fund for the yearly inspection/repairs. Is it fool proof? Nope. Is it for most people? Hell no. Do I live like most? That’s another no, so I’m not real concerned about how they live haha.
