[unknown] I hear you, I used to play a muni, STUIPD DEEP bunkers with damn near a vertical drop on them, you were lucky to find what most would identify as sand in them. I bought a 64 degree wedge and still opened it up to get out of some of them lol. My 56 just wouldn’t dig enough to actually take a swing on it.
I carried that damn club for 3 years, regardless of where I played, used it exactly 2x off that course. Both times I had myself cornered, I needed to get up over a tree and back down to the green quickly. The first time it worked so well, when I saw the chance again, I bet the guy I was playing with I could go over the trees without touching them and stick the green.. I got a free lunch and 3 beers that day haha. The ball went just about straight up and only goes about 25 yards forward, but made 50 ft pine trees look like they were mushrooms. Super fun to hit, but damn near useless, unless of course you need a short shot with a 80ft apex.
