Unexpected driver results

Yesterday I asked my club to make up a demo for me to try of a stealth2. I wanted to try something diff, as I have really struggled with my previously reliable Sim, even as I hit the rest of my clubs just fine. So the new pro at my club put one together, and we had a spontaneous Trackman fitting.
Now, as a loyal Buzz member you know I had no intention of actually purchasing a new (gasp!) OEM (double gasp!!) club, but damn, the STealth2 with a Hazardus Red was like magic. My miss - the big push - was replaced by a slight push, and easy swings gave me nice results. I felt I could swing normally, whereas of late I felt I had to really swing thru with my hands with my Sim.
The distance gain wasn't dramatic, but the directional forgiveness (dare I say "far-giveness) was noticeable. If this is replicated when I test it out on a round, I may be purchasing a new, current model OEM. Please send T&Ps

Do you think it could be a 'tempo' issue/difference between swinging the 2 drivers ? Shaft difference ? 🤔

Fairly certain it is shaft diff. The Hazardus feels much more stable and lighter than the Diamana, even tho they weigh a few gms apart. The Hazardus is a little more tip active he said

Also, the Stealth felt even better than the Sim, and I love the feel of the Sim

Nat ok I think the D+ is the whiteboard profile and S+ is the blueboard but 🤔.....rdx smoke red seems like it might be more in line with S+/BB in performance....not sure how the profiles line up but the BB is more of a smooth profile throughout and the WB is soft, stiff, stiff.....I think the rdx smoke red is the opposite of that!

Nat, the HZRDUS Red is a no additional cost shaft upgrade through Taylormade.

Hopefully TMag is using real and not made for🤔.....look for a pull or find out what the RDX Smoke Red replaced and find one of those on the cheap! WRX would be a good source of info on what is close!

Upgrades by major brands are not usually the OG shaft that costs big bucks. They are shafts that have the same paint job at a lower quality. Unless the clubmaker weighs and verifies the shaft profile it's crap shoot as to what you wind up with from a factory produced shaft/head combo. Sometimes you just got to pay the big bucks or find a suitable replacement that you "fit".

AJ explains what I am talking about. A lot of deception by major brands.

scotts33 I don't know the last time I used a driver with the shaft that came in it. If I buy a complete driver, I started pulling the shaft without ever trying it, years ago. I did try only a couple through the years, just because they were something new in the (OEM club) market that same year. And, I found them to be junk, esp. that damned $4.23 Project X crap that Cobra and Callaway use. I mentioned the ReAx shaft above in jest, but in fact, it was a really nice shaft for a lot of players.

I have plenty of HOF or LogicalOne shafts, ones that I know will work/how they work for me, so I just pull the adapter if there is one and have clubs that work well.
I also change out my FW/hybrid clubs shafts.
I've got brand new pulls from OEM clubs that I've had hanging around for years. Finally started just throwing them away.

DonM agree BUT ....if looking in the aftermarket for that shaft for a different head it is crucial to know what he was hitting well.

I think the point of AJ's video which was well done IMO is the major brands use very deceptive marketing to the golfing public. Majority that don't do a lot of research are sucked in. I think AJ's point was well made and more need to know.
