We just released a newly designed nozzle with the new gun as well (designed by yours truly 😁) and it works MUCH better than the old nozzle. Honestly, this new nozzle makes it 50% easier to install grips with air since it fully seals the hole at the butt end of the grip and directs all the air out the front, which gives you a better air cushion between the grip & shaft.

....mount up to the head on a tire inflator? That's what I'm using/trying right now for grips. I'm looking for an attachment that will work a bit better then what I have now which is too big to fit in most grips lamkin = no, GP barely, and Jumbomax Ultralite it works fine. The on the left👇

ode it'll fit on a tire inflator, but an air compressor works best since it provides a higher psi and more airflow.

Jelopster the nice thing about our nozzle compared to the attachment you're using, is you have a flat surface to push against the butt of the grip to get it fully seated all the way on the shaft. And the surrounding collar helps to support the grip and keep it straight.

Jelopster I've been using the same setup for 20yrs. I bought the gun like Star sells and found it more award to use and tossed it.

Honestly, I've used a can of air duster and installed a few grips with that. Just because I didn't want to go out in the cold to the garage. It works in a pinch...
That said, I mostly use the same setup as @Jelopster has shared. Once the grip is started and you have air flowing through the grip, it just slides on. No need for anything square or flat to push with.

Star Grips are some of the best quality grips I have ever seen. The only other grips I have seen that are as good as or close are the PURE grips.
