I've been using an R in my driver so far this year. I had one round where I loved it, but it's been a struggle since. I think it may just be the overall weight though as the shaft is much lighter than I normally use. I may try to find a heavier R shaft for it.

Also have an R in the used 7 wood I snagged and it seems fine. Honestly I can't always tell between R and S shafts. When I got fitted for my irons the DG 105 R300 and S300 felt identical to me so I went with R300.

I've heard the same thing. I believe it. It;s the one training tool that you can hit balls with that makes you swing the whole club. Doc has something there and not many in this day know about it.

This sounds cool. I’d like to jump in on this. Anybody have any suggestions on which or what one to get? Higher loft with regular or senior shaft? I’ve always have used stiff flex but I’m finding the merits of using a regular flex now. Maybe I’ll post a Ping driver to trade for one of these whipper snappers.

I have one I built with a UST special, purpose made shaft and a Maltby 7i head. I really does work.
Forget flex - It only comes in a very flexible version that requires 'tempo' on your part. Thus the
name and purpose. Those with a jerky transition will find it very difficult/challenging. 🏌

I think I'm going to order an Accuflex Vizion 50 LD shaft in senior flex and then tip trim it an inch, put a TM adapter on it and have some fun.

The really softer side is on hold for me. The ladies flex shaft I tried is misbehaving. Seems like the shaft lags then snaps shut with the ball going left. I'll revisit it later because I hit a couple of the longest drives I've hit in a good while with it. Back to the very manly A flex for me.

garyt1957 You’re a manly man Gary! If you swing smooth that’s when you bombed the ladies flex. It’s probably too erratic for every day… better off with the A flex.

I grabbed a driver from a friend in LD and it was whippet as hell. He told me he uses it in competition because the lag and speed he gets is crazy but accuracy sucks. But he only needs one bomb to win! Couldn’t use it out on the course.
