I'm only thinking about the TS3 or Ke4 Max. I would only be looking for more spin. My TS2 irons are so forgiving, it's crazy. Plus they go nicely high and long for my feeble swing. Maybe I don't try enough irons to know better.

But if I could keep the height, 90% of the forgiveness, 98% of the distance, and get enough extra spin to notice, then I'm interested in new ones.

FWIW, I find I spin it better with the TS2 vs the ke4 Max. Same trajectory, ts2 maybe a little higher

Just had 6 thru pw of ke4max built along with a ts3 GW.
Have only hit at driving range. So far, very good results. The Ke4max are very forgiving.

I’m moving on from the TS3. I’ll stay with the TS2 but will be testing the TS1-IM. I doubt I’ll move away from the TS2 but 🤷‍♂️

If anyone wants a like new set of TS3 heads 5-GW message me and I’ll send you details, pictures, and price.

I looked at all the TS heads start at $50 and work to $60. Put a $20 decent shaft in them a $5 grip and you are at $75+ that's not including shipping and build out cost (ferrules, epoxy, etc etc) plus your labor.

Most name brand great players distance irons you can find on Amazon for $90 - $110 .

It's getting not to be cost effective.

True Don if you need something off the rack can't offer. I reworked my Honma XP-1 Vizard "R" 63g 5-11 irons. I did that to MoI heft match them to my target number they are 1/2" length graduation rather than TLT. If I purchased the same set brand new on Amazon right now a new 2020 Honma XP-1 set is $700 delivered. $100/iron. XP-1 5-11 with Nippon 950GH Neo "S" are $600 on Amazon. $85/iron....IMO you can't build them for that and from what I have seen the XP-1 head is as good or better than any GW TS head. I don't think I can find the quality and design of the XP-1 heads via clubmaking component sellers.

When you build them yourself, you know they're the real deal, too. Nonetheless, Scott's comment is legit.

I checked FLO, frequency slope, swing weight when I first got the Honma irons all were spot on. I can't say that for most major brands. I always find one or two that are off.

Hell, there are no Scott Verplanks on this board. No one's going to notice anything 2* off or 2 g. off like he does. Most people don't even realize they might have used bent shafts, which is not as rare as one might think. If I can build for 100/club, I'll build over buying. I do them the way I want them. Got the grips I want. The shafts/flex I want. 'Tweaked' for me. And my swing; of which I may use 60 variations of on any given round. And that may well be bragging. 😉

I can't think of a club that I haven't taken apart/ tweaked - OEM or not. They all need it. 🤑🏌

VCOG should fit me better then the TS3. Plus they’re poon injected. You can’t go wrong with that.
