Apollo steel shafts

I've used Apollo stepless shafts in wedges and like them. Can anyone here give me a review of Apollo standard stepped or Apollo Shadow lite? I'm not too concerned about trajectory, more about feel I guess.

backinit I've been using the stepped for over a year in my irons and it's surprising how good they are. The trimmed weight is around 110 grams and they remind me of FST Pro 115, smooth with a mid trajectory.

pellmell Thank you. I've read that the stepped might be a touch softer than the stepless which isn't a bad thing for me if it's true. I appreciate your feedback.

Apollo standard stepped = TT DG. That Apollo's iteration. 40" 125g R/S combo.

I've played stepless for many years and now switched to phantoms in all my hybrids, irons and wedges; at 105gr raw, lighter and quite a bit softer but same mid trajectory.

I had (well, still have, just not in clubhead) a set of the Shadow lites. I wasn't offended by them, nor necessarily impressed. They didn't stand out as boardy, felt relatively stable, but take that with a grain of salt, as I hit maybe 60 balls with the set before I took it apart.

Thank you for the responses..much appreciated. I'm going to pull some NS Pro 1050gh shafts out of another set and if those don't work out I'm going to try a set of Apollo shafts.

backinit jmo, but the 1050GH shafts will be a much better choice. I have them in 2 sets of irons, and wish I had bought more sets on sale. They are just a bit more 'lively' than some, so I can use either R or S flex. And they are a very consistent weight.

Me too. Several years ago, there was a ebay seller from the UK that was selling new sets for $50 shipped.

They are constant weight shafts 355t or 370p.

There's quite a lot of Chinese sites as well that sell them NS Pro's at rock bottom price 😂 The Apollo's however are not expensive enough to counterfit.

Luc_Van_Daele That's what I thought, but the seller is a golf business in the UK, the sets were available in parallel and taper tip and the measured weight was half gram of published spec.

I had the 1050 GH shafts in another set of heads that I didn't hit well so it was a pretty easy decision to give them a shot.
