My digital scale was deep in my backpack as we were fishing for dinner and not expecting to be dealing with this. Fish was fought for a good 20+ mins so didn't want to take the time to look for it and wanted to get it back in the water.
We took a quick length measurement (44/45 inches ) and back it went. We estimate it was 35-40 pounds
