Thanks all. I have Ping G’s (2016) on TT Lite XLs as my normal set (replacing my current TS2s which are fine, but I’m a ho and also wanted something a bit more GI)I think the Pings will be a good fit for me as they are forgiving GI’s but not too large of a sole. This winter half set isn’t so much about finding what’s best for me, more about my morbid curiosity of trying a fat ass SGI on a light shaft. I’m thinking they could be a fun easy to launch project for frozen tundra conditions. They’d also be a good set for my dad, who’s not played in 10 years or so, if he’s up for playing a round.
