pellmell
I’ve heard Marty Nowicki on PGA Tour Radio. I think any training aid that helps with impact can be a good thing.
Being a club focused golfer the early extension, hip stall etc., isn’t something I would concentrate on.
Instead I focus on getting the hands and arms in a good impact position and let the body react / support the hands and arms.
Whether you want to use an aim point in front of the ball or make sure you present the sweet spot to the ball with forward shaft lean and a later release.
The body focused swing wants golfers to use their pivot to do this. That’s fine if you can do that. That doesn’t work for me.
For me the swing just happens too fast to concentrate on different parts of the body and what they’re doing.
Golfers have to go on their own journey and find what works for them. For me it’s not thinking anything about the body.
No thinking about shoulder turn, hip turn, secondary spine tilt, hip bump, knee movement etc. or any other body stuff for me thank you.
