Tim Rosaforte was a top golf writer and reporter. He did great work on the Golf Channel. He retired in 2019 because of early onset Alzheimer’s. Sadly it was showing in his on air work.
The Golf Channel did a nice tribute to him when he passed away earlier this year. I happened to be watching when they announced his passing.
Rosaforte was very well liked in his field and had made numerous connections over his long career covering golf.
My father in law died of Alzheimer’s. For the last 3 years of his life he was in a veterans nursing home that was specifically for Alzheimer’s patients. He was 79 when he died.
Most of the patients were older, but there were some who suffered from early onset Alzheimer’s. Early onset Alzheimer’s sufferers deteriorate at an accelerated rate. Absolutely horrible disease.
