Subsonic If I pay with a check and am willing to wait for shipment until the check clears, what is the seller out of other than time?

Subsonic Hard to believe what we put on checks 20 years ago. My wife recently shredded some old checks. They were printed with name, address, DOB, SSN and phone number. #identity theft
Ynotgolf Every time you give anyone a check they have your bank routing number and account number. Remember the days when you had to sign your credit card and had to show it at the register? Signatures were to match. I just scribbled mine, and they always matched. Lol
Par4QC Been thinking about this all day, taking checks from people here. Not sure I really trust most of them. 😲Most don't even have jobs fer chrissakes.....where they get the money for the bank? Scammers!!

Par4QC Not talking about any credit here, cash/bank accounts....how funded. Makes me think some type criminal activities are going down behind the GB walls. Some have been employed by the Gvt.. Maybe at the Mint. 'Self-employed' now, probably.😉🤔 Been a lot of 'plumbing' problems here also, esp. with gvt. retirees. What's causing all that?

Eguller Rickochet Same here. I'm good with PPal or checks, cash, trades, etc.... I think someone here once told me when I was using checks.... get with the program and use PPal. Right Steve ? 😉
Ynotgolf Been using online banking, bill paying, auto payment withdrawals, PayPal,etc. since all that was available Back when I had dial-up internet. Never one issue. Only check I write is to pay my property taxes, which I deliver in person.
