Yes.

Living on Cape Cod I remember when they were making the movie on Martha's Vineyard in 1974. I read Peter Benchley's best seller before the movie. There was huge buzz about the movie and we went to see it as soon as it came out.

Ironically back in 1975 when the movie came out there were no Great White Sharks in the waters off Cape Cod. But there are now. Great Whites hunt seals and there were no seals back then. There's lots of seals there today.

We used to go water skying in Nantucket Sound back then. But I wouldn't today. lol

I'd bet Star Wars fits in some place in the top 25. Even though I've never watched it.😲
Maybe Forrest Gump.

I prefer the oldies, and surely Casablanca is close to the top.

Yes, Jaws makes the cut. Special effects by today's standards are weak, but for their time, they were game changers. Good script, actors. Any movie I can watch many times makes the cut.

From a ground -breaking special effects standpoint, I'd add Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

These are just my opinions.

pellmell Kind of cool that this movie and Jaws both had 3 male leads with the 2nd billed actors (Shaw, Wallach) giving the standout performances (IMO).
