darpar people do use Zillow all the time as a reference point
iirc, it does give the price a property last sold for, and when. If accurate, it could be a nice detail when looking to buy. Or, could be very confusing.
I checked a house in my hometown a few weeks ago because I was surprised at the pricing. Zillow showed it was sold less than 8 months prior, for about 50% less. The only diff in appearance was repainting. But, that old price could have been way off, and a person would need to check at co. courthouse to be sure of anything.
