So today i threw a foursome off the course. I’m so tired of this entitlement shit…
4 20 somethings go to the blue tees on the first hole. One dead right into the woods, one dribbler, one hit it 2 feet. They run back to their bags to reload. I said what are you doing… they said hitting again. I said no, one kid says I’ll be fast and dribbles another. I turn around and the hack that almost misses the first time hit it less than a foot.
I told them, I just said not to hit another ball…. I also told them not to play the blues.
Fast forward to 5 hours later when nobody has come on on 18 for almost an hour. We start the groups 10 minutes apart. I go out and these ass clowns are on the 17 th tee.. playing the blue tees. The holes plays 595 from there. As I drive up, the hid who hasn’t hit one out out there tee box does it again.
I lost it… one of the kids says “I’ve never been to a course where they follow you around to make sure you’re playing the right tees…. “Wtf???? I said,” follow you? I saw you on #1 and now on #17. I asked you on 1 to play the proper tees. The blues are the pro tees , white are amatuer. We agreed you are not playing the appropriate tees right? You guys don’t run the golf course… WE do. Kid says,” we should be allowed to do what we want”. I said,” that’s it… you’re done… I asked you to play the appropriate tees so you have more fun amd you don’t hold up the golf course. You are over an hour behind the group in front of you. Look behind you… the groups are all stacked up there on 16. You’re just saying fuck you to me so guess what…. You’re done. Either follow me in or I’ll take your shit off the carts and you can walk in.” They followed me in and left.
In the meantime, the other guy gets a phone call, 6 groups… yea, 6 groups on the 4th tee. One group of guys, goofy socks, hats on backwards, driving carts everywhere, music, hitting multiple balls. The people waiting were pissed. Our guy said 3 of the groups said they’d never come back.
I’ve told our director and head pro about the disgruntled people… they don’t give a shit. They were saying how we seem to get dumber people playing here every week. I said that I think the problem is we are chasing away the real golfers because the dummies comes here and ruin the experience so much they won’t come back. The only ones having fun out there are the dummies. It’s a shame they’ll never do anything about it.
