GPS/Rangefinder Thread

Have both (Leupold and Bushnell) and love them. Plus most carts have GPS. If I miss a shot it’s all me. Because I have all the info I need. Lol

Sneakylong Plus most carts have GPS.

Only a couple of the nicer courses have them on the carts. My cheap lil Phantom is always within a yard of what they show. So, I go by it at all courses, no matter what any markers may tell.

The Leupold is the rangefinder. I’ve had it for years. Works great. The Bushnell is a GPS watch. Works fine as well. The bracelet had to be replaced and they sent me a free one. Now this one is starting to tear.

Generally use the rangefinder on par 3’s. We always pin hunt because we playing greenies.

Par4QC only one course in my area that I have played so far. They also want $30 for the cart rental... I'm cheap,and I'll walk there...

How far is it from your house? Seems like a lot of trouble to save a few gallons of gas.

We are $20. We should do $30. It’s been the same for 3 years. We can tell people that plus the piece of gas…. It we could go to $30 and nobody would walk instead.

My experience says:

Range finder users are slow golfers.
A GPS wrist watch is fast and more then enough accurate.

I had a Leupold that had great optics, but ended up with a Bushnell that was quicker, easier to use.
ShotScope watch was even quicker and is enough most of the time.

Eguller Leupold should have great optics... They made it on great optics.

Bushnell and my Tec Tec Tec Rangefinders are easier to use than a leopold. Bushnell GPS watch that showed back, middle and front yardages always served me well. It’s those full screen hole layouts in the apps you download that take forever with people. Those are the big slowdowns

I have an older model Leupold and it couldn’t be easier. It’s just basic black and white optics with no slope adjusted option.

I have the Bushnell that is a rangefinder with GPS built into it as well. Mostly use the GPS for shots but the scope gets used for quite a few approach shots. The GPS also gives yardages to hazards, which is definitely helpful.
