Congrats! Take some time to rest and refresh. Sounds like you've earned it.
Three years ago my wife was let go from her job after 28 years. She only had two more years before retiring, and while she was really looking forward to celebrating that day - it certainly didn't end the way she had hoped. Her career was a huge part of her identity, so it took her awhile before she would rebound from it.
But today... she donates her time and works p/t at our church. She's not quite as busy as she was as an executive in her company, but she stays pretty busy these days. And she couldn't be happier to have some time to do the things she wants, when she wants.
You have a lot of options. Consider them all. But most importantly - embrace this next chapter in your life! Time to find a new purpose to get up every morning. 🙂
