sdandrea1 Might not be such a far-fetched idea, at least for the U.S. events. Might entice more people to go to the live event and get some non-golf publicity.
I once went to a Memphis Mad Dogs (CFL) football game in the 90's and a very colorfully dressed Rufus Thomas came and sat next to me. We had about a 10 minute conversation before he moved on. Turns out they hired him to go around the crowd and glad hand for publicity and good will. It didn't work any better than sprortwashing and the Mad Dogs were gone soon after.
