Thanks gentlemen! After talking to Golfworks and Club Champion (who built the original clubs, per the seller) it sounds like the blue sticker is the only remaining indicator of how to orient the shaft. When the shaft comes off the machine they put a paper sticker near the tip with a line on it and install it accordingly. But once the epoxy cures, it gets removed.
They also place the blue sticker on the back side of the shaft just below the grip, but it isn't really a precise marking.
I'm very surprised that a $20+ per shaft service is a one time deal! Why they don't put a sticker under the grip is beyond me. Also, when a professional club builder like Club Champion pulls the shafts, it would be a simple service to the customer to throw a piece of tape on there and draw a line on it for future reference.
