golfer_LD Generally by now Aaron from Value Golf or even Jeff Summit usually tease us with some of the upcoming product from Hireko. Any chance of that happening again or is the Hireko product line preview gone with FGI?
ode I saw Monark had a an Acer XV thriver in there email today.....I believe that is new, although hardly exciting as it looks exactly like the regular XV driver and theyve had a thriver (xk) now for a few years.
jrsharp21 Always been a supporter of Hireko. But it seems like in the past two years there just hasn't been much new stuff coming out of the Hireko camp. Every year I look for a new hybrid head to come out, but nothing.
Rickochet LBlack14 Didn't they get into the OEM business? Could be why? You might be thinking about Diamondtour and their other company Hurricane golf.
ode I think they bought the Powerbilt name and have built club offerings under that name.....They also bought some OEM shafts that they are selling on their site, I don't think that makes them in the OEM biz.
sdandrea1 ValueGolf Adams, Tour Edge, Nexxt, Powerbuilt.......if you count Adams & Powerbuilt as active OEM
LBlack14 ValueGolf Do you know the answer? I'd assume you do, so answer it. I thought they started selling OEM stuff. "Didn't they get into the OEM business?" "pretty sure"
ValueGolf sdandrea1 Adams is toast, Nexxt and Powerbuilt are their brands, Tour Edge maybe a closeout or 2.
golfer_LD I remember a couple years back they were selling the current models of the Adams and Tour Edge but I don't think that venture panned out like they thought so I think all they have is leftover stock from that venture for those two. I know with Powerbilt that Hireko actually purchased the brand rights and remaining stock when the Powerbilt decided to rebrand themselves as Air Force One golf (which I think was a mistake). I think Hireko's plan was to continue to manufacture clubs under the Powerbilt name and having them be more of a higher tier component offering. I know the Nexxt line is a value line offering but I'm not sure how well that is working for them.
ode Does look like they have a few Adams and tour edge offerings but they are old models....Not sure why they acquired them....I suppose there is a buck or two to be made...And that's about it. I dunno much ado about nothing imo. And the prices on the Adams driver and xgc5 driver are way out of line.....I think they'll have em for a while.
customgolfcenter Hireko has gotten into buying up closeout lots that they flip to make a few bucks, but they certainly aren't OEM dealers. And they bought the PowerBilt brand a while back, so that's technically still their own stuff.
