Anyone else have trouble returning any gas powered machines to Menard's? I bought a lawn mower from them and realized it was a bad piece of poorly constructed materials. Didn't even take it off the driveway after I started it. Took it back and they wouldn't credit or replace it since I had put gasoline in the tank.
Took it to the manufacturer's local listed warranty service center. There, they cautioned me they had trouble collecting for some warranty repair work. Claim denied. Add a couple of $100 to what I paid for a polished dog turd.
Later, annual maintenance time (plug and blade sharpening) and I took it to the backyard garage mower repair guy. He told me it was a Chinese knockoff that did a beautiful job of replicating the Honda motor. Now the transmission went out and I can't get parts so no self-propelled function. I'm now looking for a neighborhood kid to take over. I'm too old for this crap and love to tell my Menard's story to whomever asks for recommendations on where to buy their next ___________________________________(fill in the blank).
