Awhile back I picked up a Mizuno STX driver. After replacing the stock M-Fusion shaft with a Ventus Blue, I needed to increase the head weight.
The good news it has a screw in sole weight. Mine was 4 grams, but an optional 11 gram was available in the STZ driver.
So I contacted Mizuno to see about getting one....NOT!
First the said they would send one out to me directly. Then I had to take it to a authorized dealer to verify it was removed. Then they wanted me to send it in for "inspection" with a estimated time of 4-6 weeks to get it back!
Every other Mfg has replacement weights or at least you can get an aftermarket one. Not Mizuno and these specific drivers. All of their Newer versions you can, but not mine!?!?!
So here's how I surcumvented the problem.
I found a sole weight out of a TM driver that met the weight I was after. So I ordered one off of fleabay. It measured out to a M8 x 1.0 thread pitch. So I purchased a tap, drilled the Mizuno weight and tapped it out to accept the TM weight.
Worked Perfectly!
Now I have a replaceable sole weight from 2-14 grams!
Plus I've also obtained a replacement for the entire Mizuno weight thru an automotive outlet. It happens to be a M12 x 1.0 thread pitch.
Take a look and tell what you think!
