Muggy as fuck in Miami.

Took my 19 year old son on a quick weekend trip to the greater Los Angeles area. Saturday we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. Temps got up to the low 100's and kept a bunch of the locals away. The lines were so short that my boy got to do 16 of the biggest rides in the park in the 10 hours we were there. I only did 11 because my fat ass couldn't get some of the harnesses to fit.🤣 Sunday, we met up with Spaky for a round of golf at Hidden Valley golf club, a course that might as well be a roller coaster with all the massive elevation changes. What a great weekend of father and son time. I had never seen the kid with so many smiles on his face as I did at the theme park. This one is going in the memory banks for sure.

Just back from our trip with my GF to Bilbao Spain, home to the Guggenheim museum.

To finish the week we played 2 superb courses:

Uraburu Golf designed by José María Olazábal (5983meter from the whites / I played the 5533 meter tees)

Meaztegi Golf designed by Seve Ballesteros (6253meter from the whites / I played the 5698 meter tees)

My wife, my oldest daughter and I by the Space Needle on Wednesday. We went for a concert on Tuesday night, then on Wednesday we went to the Museum of Pop Culture and Pike Place Market. The museum was amazing, definitely worth the trip.

I’m in Scotland for the next several days. Then Ireland. It’s not a golf trip but I plan to play a couple of times or so with rental clubs.

The weather is a lot cooler than Texas. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

I had to use a different browser to get into GB, but that’s another story.

Going to Scotland next week on a golf trip. Staying in St. Andrews, playing Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, Crail and then driving cross-country to play Prestwick. I have a day set aside to play St. Andrews as a single walk-on - will probably try the New Course as I had already played the Old Course 10 years ago as a single walk-on. Hopefully the weather will be good!

eltigrecda I’m going to put my name in the new singles draw for the old course for a day next week. I only have one day that I can do it. If I don’t get it, I’m going to play the New or Jubilee. They’re not all available each day right now because of local tournaments. So I’ll take what I can get.

I’m playing either the 7th or the 8th.

No dice. When the drawing came out, I was on the waiting list, number 47. Now I’m 34. They say you can still get called during the day but at 34 I doubt it.

So in a while I’m heading to the New Course, which is walk up only. The guy there said I’ll be on within an hour or so.

I love Hilton Head Island. This place was planned so well and development has been controlled so well. The lodging, recreation, shopping and restaurants are so clean and conveniently located. The beaches are as well. The place is maintained immaculately. I wouldn't want to live here ( a LOT of people do), but man we love visiting here. We don't trade our timeshare. We just come here.
