Walterjn bogeypro I've had a few of those, I seem to be able to "fix" them. I've been able to remove the slider, remove the spring, and replace the slider. Still slides and shuts off the flow when I manually operate it. I just don't have to force it and feel like I'm going to break it.
KCee LBlack14 If you see any more laying around I'll buy them! Bought 2 new cans last year to go with the generator and they're awful. You need 3 hands to use one of them while the other spills gas. As an engineer there's nothing I despise more than piss poor design.
Eguller KCee there's nothing I despise more than piss poor design. 100% ----> fire the intern who designed it.
LBlack14 KCee get on John Deere and tell their guys that not everybody is 5'2" and weighs 110lbs. Worst golf course equipment I've ever dealt with.
Bravopilot sdandrea1 Not you, just general subjects on GB. Now that @Subsonic has a long-term plan to receive Geezer credits, he can bring in Guest lecturers such as Toulon to describe techniques to irritate people in 5 words or less. As the Last Tee wannabe, I will support him in this endeavor. Make some money through YouTube
DC300 The gas can is my number #1 way to show anybody who thinks we need more Government intervention, what you get when you let politicians dabble in something they have no clue about (which seems to be everything, but I digress). I’m not sure there has been a product that has regressed further since it’s inception.
Rickochet Back in 2019 I bought about a dozen 5 gallon plastic gas cans online and IIRC they were about $12 each. They had the handle on top and side and were self venting. They had the one piece flexible spout with collar and cap. Nothing fancy. I can't believe that these are still not available. Edited: After looking I still see the Midwest 5 gal red plastic cans available cheap but they all come with the "Quick Flo" nozzle which I guess is what everyone is crabbing about. There are a bunch of hack videos available on Youtube for the nozzle. Here is one that takes the spring out of the nozzle. https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=yfp-t&ei=UTF-8&p=Midwest+gas+cans#id=1&vid=56975f3b61795e321897d7585317ea26&action=click
Eguller sdandrea1 My adapters like those from Amazon are in route as I write this. No more 'gas hands'..... and garage floor.
sdandrea1 DonM Do you have to add the vent? Yes. The vent comes with the kit, and a drill bit for the vent install.
Ynotgolf Figured you guys would all have battery powered mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, leaf blowers, etc. by now! Get with the program!
DonM pellmell Now I know which gas cans do the best after falling off the top of a careening motorhome!
pike51 Sorry I'm late to this party. VP Racing cans are the way to go. Any color you want and none of that EPA crap that ruined gas cans. https://racerwalsh.com/product/vp-racing-fuel-jug-rwa7350vp/
Rickochet pike51 Sorry I'm late to this party. VP Racing cans are the way to go. Any color you want and none of that EPA crap that ruined gas cans. Read the fine print. These are not made for gasoline.
