Best place to trade clubs for credit

Where's the best place to trade clubs for credit, who would sell balls and clothing to spend the credit on?

DonM I only deal with RBG. No hassle trade-in. No hassle returns, if necessary. Seems to have best pricing for trades, overall, compared to other places. They always have balls, new, used, etc.. Lot of specials at times, if you wait it out. They do have clothing, but have never bought anything from them, if memory serves.

I 'purge' every fall, and wait all winter, looking over their sales. I've been ordering a lot here lately, for son & grandson. I did get me some balls, like I needed more than the 20 dozen I already had!! 😁

I've only used Rock Bottom and Mikes Golf Outlet and had good experiences with both. I think they use the same trade-in calculator. It's not bad if you need something and they are paying extra for store credit. RBG has a bigger selection of new stuff beyond just clubs. Mikes is nice for me if I'm looking at more used clubs since it's local, but otherwise I'd pick RBG.

I've bought shirts from RBG. Do they ever have bonus trade in deals?

DonM +50%, and it's going on now. But, it does go on most all winter.
Granted, the +50% may be misleading, when looking at others' normal trade values, but it still comes out higher. And that is what counts imo. I never pay PP fees, nor shipping fees, and get about the same value as if I were to sell on the internet. A no brainer, for me.

Par4QC I looked at one putter I have. The trade was only $10 and on eBay it would get about 50. I'll have to check a few more.

There is a Play It Again Sports in the next county. I should take a ride and see what they do.

I think you have to watch the trade-in values. On late model drivers you can get a good credit, but on older but decent iron sets or putters where they still have value on eBay, you may get next to nothing. That said shipping charges, ebay charges, et al do take their toll on your time and profit.

DonM Yup. I did well trading in 2 drivers and fairways, but I sold some putters, hybrids and iron set on ebay as the trade in values were really low. I had 2 nice Ping hybrids that they would give like $12 each for, but would also sell them for about $100 each....WTF!? Similar with a nice Odyssey putter. OTOH I had driver from CPO that I paid ~ $185 for (Like New) and I got ~ $225 in credit lol.

In all seriousness, I used to know and have forgotten, but rest assured it's probably close to 25% of what they'll try to sell it for.
