Cally Hybrids Mavrik vs Steelhead XR

I know they will play pretty much the same but have any of you guys seen both of these and are able to comment on how they compare overall size and face shape?

bad9 I've seen them. IIRC the Steelhead XR is maybe inbetween the regular Mavrik and Mavrik Max in size. The shapes were similar. Cally has been using that same type of shape with larger squared off toe for a while.

I had the XR OS and now use the Rogue X which are similar to Mavrik Max in size and shape.

bad9 Not exactly an answer to your question, however, I have a Maverick Max 6H. Based on pictures of Steelhead XR 16, they look similar in the face and top view. I do not like the look of the Maverick Max hybrid but I can hit it fairly consistently. But, it is not a good look which I seem to tell myself each time I pull it. A little too fat but it works. Took a while to hit these fat clubs though starting with the oversize Adams. May have something to do with me being fat over time too.

Three versions of the Maverick hybrid, not sure which one you mean--same with Steelhead.

This ^. I currently use the Rogue line of hybrids and they are very similar to the Mavriks. Easy to hit and
consistent. Almost interchangeable.

That's my take on the XR16 OS and Rogue X. I consider them fugly, but they work and you get used to them. I would actually prefer the smaller size visually, but I was fitted for the XR16 OS and when they broke Cally replaced them with Rogue X. I think the Rogue X is a bit hotter, but I liked the XR16 OS a bit better. My buddy has the standard Mavrik hybrids and loves them.

Great info. They are all pretty strong lofted, do they play long(for the club number ie 5h) as well?

bad9 The Rogue X 5h I have plays like a 4h IMO. My iron set is not very strong lofted though 6 = 30*. I have been thinking about a true 5h as my course has several par 3's where 5i is the club.

KCee The set I'd potentially be adding to are also weak lofted with a 30° 6 iron. A 6h would probably fit the distance progression better than the 5h. The women's models would also be a possibility as they are generally weaker lofted.

bad9 I have been toying around with a KE4 Tour 5 hybrid which may be better for me yardage wise. The Rogue X is easy to hit, but it can be hotter than I want or need.

I used to use the XR16 OS 3h off the tee as it was a rocket launcher. The Rogue X 3h is even longer, but for whatever reason I can't hit it anywhere near as consistently even though it has same shaft, MOI, length, weight, etc.
