The article I referenced regarding the 16 DP World Tour players ‘banned’ including Lee Westward and Ian Poulter. They used the word ‘banned’ from playing next week at the Scottish Open.

Are they banned for life or just from the Scottish Open? Again, semantics. I could say you have a lifetime suspension or lifetime ban.

Bans or suspensions can always be lifted.

I’ve got 10-11 years to work I wish someone would give me a chance to retire in 2 years. Of course that means I’d have to be extremely good at golf but that isn’t happening lol. I ain’t judging these guys. There’s only one judge.

Sorry you feel that way, but some of us do care and have strong opinions on this. But people can disagree. For me not being the religious type I’ll judge in the here and now.

And I would think for religious people it would be frowned upon to sell one’s soul. Have no problem with getting as much money as you can. But the source of the money is relevant. Because in the words of Philly Mick, the Saudi’s are bad m’fers.

bigshank Who really gives a shit? It’s flipping golf.

Amen. I got tired of the drama after a few weeks. I just read the headlines now.

sdandrea1 I'm shocked they wanted him

      You shouldn't be.
Race to Dubai runner up in 2020, Masters Champ and supporter of events in Saudi.
I don't think they care about his personality or his on course antics/shenanigans.
Same deal with Sergio with his petulant actions in a bunker in Dubai? a couple of years ago.
      Names are names.

        Spuzz Names are names.

If I attended one of these events, Reed would be on my must watch list. I’d probably split time between him, Koepka, and Anser.

What happens when a viewer calls in to report a rules infraction in the Saudi League? Do they mysteriously disappear?

If they paired Brooksie and DeShambles, I'd pay to watch.

Only if they show up at the Palace for a chit chat.

I find the selective boycotting concept so interesting. LIV is Bad and Saudis are this and that as they jump into their SUV for another $100 fill up.

I tuned in for the first time this morning and it was nice to watch on youtube.

Paul Casey reportedly the next signee. I guess coming back from an injury but ready to play.

Just saw the live Paul Casey "welcome" interview. There might be a team playoff between Sergio's and DJs teams. Dammit, I didn't want to like this, but it's getting interesting. No commercials, lots of golf shots. Watching now. 🍿

LIV golf has some crossover fans from the PGA Tour. Unfortunately, it's the idiots that yell "in the hole" and other tiresome phrases. Nice crowds nonetheless.

azgreg Smartest 1 out of the whole bunch that went LIV! As long as he got enough guaranteed money up front.
He's not going to be playing much, even in their limited seasons, with that back of his.

Some of these fellas are going to be looking for employment come Jan. 1. New season, more tourneys, and as I read it, only 48 contract players. 48 is what it said. How many they got now???

I didn't really get the team aspect but now I see that it can bring some interest to shots of players that are not on the top of the leaderboard.

Gotta love that it's commercial free.
